(a) Approve his being given 4 months vacation leave before retirement [This is generally allowed in Hongkong]
(b) Dr. Eitel was only Acting Prof. of Schools for the first year (or so) of his service; Dr Stewart being titular holder of the post together with the Headmastership of Central School. The two posts were separated, & Dr. Eitel was confirmed beginning of 1879 by desp 837/78.
