We can recommend Mr. David Wood with confidence as one who will perform his duties well. He was in our office from 12th December, 1883 & 31st December, 1889, and was steady, clever, and diligent. He was well up in Estimating, Cash-Keeping, stores, books and accounts, and there showed that he had taken a lively interest in investigating the technical details in the shops and the Commercial portion in the office. His books were always kept neatly, correctly and up to time. He left of his own accord, and we were sorry to lose him. We shall always be interested to learn that his career is a successful one, as we have no doubt it will be.
