Sir,
With reference
to your
confidential letter of the
2nd September last on
the subject of Dr Grosser's visit to St Helena, I am directed
by Mr Secretary Chamberlain
to inform you
that the circumstances attending
Dr Grosser's travels, seemed
to him sufficiently suspicious
to warrant his requesting the
Governors of the various colonies,
to which Dr Grosser purposes
visiting to have his proceedings
closely watched on his
arrival.
