I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch, No 224, of the 23rd September last, enclosing Mr. J.H. Kennedy's application for the post of Administrator-General and Trustee in Bankruptcy in Jamaica.

2. I request that you will cause Mr. Kennedy to be informed that I am not aware of the correct style of the Post in question, "Administrator-General and Trustee in Bankruptcy". However, in Hong Kong, for many years, I have understood that fears; I hope that if possible, Kennedy has applied for this appointment and is backed by various legal luminaries here in Hong Kong, including the Chief Justice.
