I have the honour to apply for the post of Administrator General and Trustee in Bankruptcy in Jamaica which I understand will shortly become vacant and to which, as I am informed, the Colonial Office still appoint a Solicitor at a salary of £800 a year.
I am a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Judicature in England and of the Supreme Court of Hongkong.
I was admitted in England in 1880 and in Hongkong in 1880.
I was for ten years, from 1877 to 1887, with the City Firm of Freshfields and Williams, having been articled to one of the members of that firm in 1877 and having remained as a managing clerk from 1880 to 1887. In 1887 I went to Japan on a Commission to examine Witnesses. I returned to England
