With reference to this stationery, I was supplied with it by the Clerk in Belfast Prison Office, when going on leave of absence preparatory to leaving for this service, for the purpose of communicating with the Crown Agents, as my business with them was not finished when leaving the Prison on leave of absence, and some remained in my possession till I made use of them.
I am enclosing Canteen Chits as directed this instant, for the purpose of having been in charge of Canteen.
