I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of the despatch dated the 24th August by which Your Lordship had the kindness to inform me that the fines imposed upon the German Officers of the "Hohenzollern" in May will be refunded.
It is with the greatest pleasure that I tender Your Excellency my sincere thanks for this act of grace.
I shall not fail to inform my Government by the first opportunity.
