Nine Europeans,

No 117 of the 6th May, have been attacked by the disease

1. Mr. A.H. Skelton, clerk to Messrs Lane, Crawford & Co., 2. Private E. Durrant, R.B.,

3. Win Barr, R.E.,

4. Wm Hanson, son of Police Inspector Hanson,

5. M. Andrew Hogg, Custodian of the Wong Nei Chong Recreation Ground,

6. Private Jas. Simmonds, R.B.

7. M. G. Moffatt, Inspector of Nuisances,

8. W.A. Mackie, son of Police Inspector Mackie, and

9. Miss C. McIntosh, nurse in the Government Civil Hospital.

In 3 of the above cases viz. Messrs Barr, Simmonds and Moffatt, the disease ended fatally; in the other cases all recovered.
