With reference to the Bonds The China Loan D of 1886 held by the Hong Kong Government as part security against
the Bank's note issue, I beg to inform you that this Loan is now paid
off, and I shall be glad if you will release the Bonds at your
convenience.
I may mention that I am in receipt of advices from our London Manager that ample security has been
lodged with the Crown Agents against
