Age Qualifications - Candidates must be under 30 years of age, preferably with previous experience in Hospitals or Medical Corps.
Rules: the above will be married (but no additional salary is paid for wife or children).
Passage home granted on embarkation (not passage out).
Pension will be from the date of arrival in the colony.
Full salary will be paid to the officer on engagement.
Contribution to pension fund - a deduction not exceeding 1/3 of salary is payable on arrival in England.
Service will count for pension.
Venereal diseases - cases of sickness caused through misconduct will be remitted at the discretion of the officer in charge.
Salary payable - Bounty of $25 after 1 year's service.
After 10 years' service, salary is increased to 1/2.
For retirement, a gratuity is granted.
