for France regarding the interpretation of subsections 8(a)(2) and 8(6)(6) of Section 5 of the Ordinance 26 of 1891, together with a report on the subject by the Harbour Master, and I shall be obliged if I may be informed whether the Consul is correct in his contention that the production of the original certificates is not necessary.

In the absence of any copy of the Convention to which the Consul refers, the Acting Attorney-General is unable to advise on the point.
