Routine description of these projects, together with estimates of the cost of construction, will be found in the inclosed report.
With respect to the financial aspect of the question, I anticipate no difficulty in meeting the expenditure which will have to be incurred in order to cover the cost of those works, the construction of which is considered necessary to meet the present requirements of the city.
I suggest therefore that the report and plans, which are forwarded under separate cover, - Bill of Lading annexed! - be referred to Mr Chadwick, and should he concur in Mr Cooper's proposals, I hope that I may receive your authority by telegram to proceed with the works and incur the necessary expenditure.
