I have abolished the post held by him. I accordingly recommend

that he be

granted a pension, under Rule 12 of the Division Minute, at

the rate of $1113.93 per annum to date from the 1st instant. The usual paper of particulars is enclosed.

Mr Baird will leave for

England early next month.
