Tenders for the exclusive privilege of collecting and

dealing in Opium Dross and of preparing and dealing in Dross Opium

within the Colony for the term of one, two, or three years from the

1st.Maroo, 1335, under the provisions of the Oplus Ordinance, 1334;

will be received at this Office until noon on Thursday the 23rd. Octok

-ber, 1324. Each tender aust specify the payment offered monthly.

The successful tender will bave to comply with the follow-

-ing Regulations as to the sanitary condition of second class Opium

smoking Divans:-

1. The Houses must be substantially tuilt, te in good repair, clean, and have proper house-drains iisconnected from the public sexe The Houses must be provided with proper means of ventila- -tion and have adequate kitøben, privy, urinal, and ash-tia accommoda-

-tion.

The Bovses must have proper receptacles for the storage

of water, and accommodation for personal washing.

4. The Hopses shall at all times te kept in a clean and wbolesone condition, and they shall te line-washed regulerly once in

every four months.

Every adult person lodging in an Opiun Sooking House must have at least 350 cubic feet of space for sleeping accommodation.

Any person found in an Opium Smoking House after 3 P.:., not being the bolder of a night pass, shall be considered a tona fide

lodger for the night.

3. The Opiun Stoking House sball at all times te open to inspection by nemters of the Sanitary Board or any of its officers.
