By this
arrangement some of the sisters would proceed on leave before the completion of six years' service whilst the others would get their leave when it becomes due, and at no time would two sisters be absent at the same time.
In the interests of the service His Excellency the Governor is prepared to sanction the ar- rangement on the understand- ing that it will obviate the necessity of adding to the ~ nursing staff a "holiday" sister as originally suggested by you, (S.) J. H. S. Lockhart,

minute dated 11. 19.95, I have to point out that the arrange- ment you propose assumes the sisters only require months leave, say 4 months

vacation leave and 9 months
service as u
half pay leave, every six years instead of two months vacation leave every year and half pay leave equal to to of their resident usually conceded to other officers in the service.
I know of no reason for assuming that such an arrangement will either meet the requirements of
the
