Squatters' licences up to the end of 1895 have been col- lested with the exception of _ $72.26 due by holders who have left the Colony or surrendered
their holdings.
I have accordingly
to
request authority to write off
further sum; and as
the above
holders of lands under this ~ form of tenure
are
constantly
leaving the Colony or vacating
their
premises,
it would be a
convenience if general authority
were
e granted to the Governor to
write off arrears in such

are irrecoverable.
