The former are 39, the latter 33 only in num- It will no doubt be therefore necessary to increase the latter, though not to the extent of the full 39, as two or three lower values might be affixed to make up one
higher ditto.
It is difficult at this distance from the Colony to say how many adhesives will be necessary, but that need not interfere with getting an estimate from De
La Rue as to (A) cost of adhesives
(B)
"impressing-date-machine.
The latter should be quite simple and might
record the date both on the adhesive and the document thus- plus a crown or something to shew its official nature.
