I have the homur to submit the enclosed application
from Warder John Smith for one of the vacancies in the
Victoria Prison, Hong Kong.
Warder Smyth is a smart in-
telligent young man aged 25 years. He has some two year's
and three months service in the General Prisons Board
Service, Ireland, having joined the Staff of Belfast Prison

1893. He would appear to have been transferred
to Sligo Prison on the 4th October, 1893, and was trans-
