Adverting to your letter of 3rd Instant, on the
subject of the insurance policies on the lives of C.

Fiebelas, J. Mitchell and F. Coleman, Light Keepers at
Gap Rock, Hong Kong, who have taken permanent service with
the Hong Kong Government, I am directed to acquaint you,
for the information of the Secretary of State for the
Colonies,
that the extra premiums on the lives of these
three men were paid in April last, so that they are
covered by insurance up to April 1896.
If the policies
and
are now surrendered the insurance will at once cease,
the Blder Brethren wish therefore to be informed whether
It is still desired that the policies should be sold now,
or whether it is considered better to wait until next
March or April.
