Referring to our letter of yesterday's date on the
subject of the provision of funds for Hong Kong, I have the
honour to inform you that we have this morning received a
telegram from the Governor of that Colony to draw for
200,000 dollars.
In these circumstances there is no present neces-
sity to invite the attention of the Governor to the state
of the Colony's account with us.
