a site H.1K.L.. still further away from the Battery and situated
in a deep valley being separated by two distinct valleys and
two spurs
or ridges of hills, the heights of which above 0.D. are
figured on the plan..
4. This site is extremely well protected being in a small
deep valley with steep hill sides, closing at head of valley.
There would be two distinct and separate valleys between the
site and the Battery hill and also two riages or spurs of hills
the lowest part of which is about 50 feet higher than the level
of the Battery..
We would therefore subait that with a strong earth or
masony Dau across the mouth of the valley no escape of oil
burning or otherwise would be possible and that owing to the
distance and the height of the hills any smoke would not affect
the Northpoint Battery.
The Site is also at a distance from the works and godowns
so that any accident or fire happening there would not affect
the tanks.
5. The original site for works, &c. shewn reclaimed from the
sea would be retained and a pipe line carried from the tanks
to the works.

you have already expressed your willingness to comply with..
