as a public censure on the manner in which I have fulfilled the
duties of the offices in which I have had the hon cur to serve for
this Colony.
Under these circumstances I have to express a hope
that Your Excellency may be pleased to reconsider my position before
requesting the sanction of Her Majesty the Queen to the proposed pre-
cedence of the Hon: H. B. Wodehouse as a Member of the Xecutive
Council.
