before 1862) the Reddendum Clause of which requires the Crown Rents

were fixed in

Sterling-to be paid "in current dollars of the Colony "at such rate of exchange

"or mayy hereafter from time to time " be fired as the rake of exchange "for the payment of the salaries of " the Public Officers of the C Colony.
