Complying with your instructions with reference to the case of

plague at No. 27 Nullah Lane 1st floor I have the honour to report

for your information that I have caused inquiries to be made and

found that Pun Po Sau fortune teller, the man isolated into the

marriage boat and sent to Stone Cutters' Island yesterday left Macao

on or about 23rd instant and went to Canton with his wife, from thence

they came on to Hong-Kong ty Steamer on the 25th instant and engaged

the 1st floor of the house in question from his clansman living on t

the ground floor.

bas no other employment. He left Macao and went to Canton atout two

days before he came to Hong-Kong, he arrived here on 25th instant

with his wife. I visited them on the evening of the 28th instant

for about an hour. I did not sleep there. I slept in my shop in

Crass Street.

Pun Sz, shop coolde, No. 44 Mullah Lane was ther

visiting at the same time as me. I believe he did sleep there all
