I agree that the work of the Official Re-
ceiver in Bankruptcy is slight The reason for ap-
pointing the Deputy Land Officer was that he might be under the control of the Registrar If the Deputy
Land Officer were dispensed with no doubt the law
might be altered so as to permit the Registrar to per-
form the duties of Official Receiver. If the $50
a month recommended in Section 109 be granted the fees now payable to the Official Receiver would have to be
transferred to the Government. The Government would
I think lose by the arrangement.
In connection with the recommendation in
Section 110 the fact that Admiralty fees are no longer taken by the Registrar may perhaps be borne in mind.
