Financial position of the Colony.
1.
The Revenue for the year 1893 amounted to

$1,940,261,(£226,364), or, inclusive of Land Sales and

Water Account, to $2,078,135, (£242,449).

The Expenditure during the same period was
$1,920,524, (
(£224,061).
The Revenue thus exceeded the Expenditure
by $157,611, (£18,388).
At the close of the year the Statement of
Assets and Liabilities showed an excess of Assets over

Liabilities of $1,489,024, (£173,719).
