With reference to the letter from this Department,
(No568) of the 28th April, 1891, and your reply, dated the
12th May,
1891, relating to the method of charging the
percentage upon the value of Government House Furniture in
Hong Kong, I am directed by the Comptroller and Auditor
General to transmit to you, for the information of the
Secretary of State, and for such directions as he may be
pleased to give, the enclosed copy of a letter recently
received from Mr Nicolle, the Local Auditor of Hong Kong,
on the same subject.
