such case and immediately upon such failure neglect or refusal the said Government shall have the power to discharge the said William Bidgood and this present Agreement shall be null and void to all intents and purposes and the said William Bidgood shall forfeit all claim or demand which otherwise he might or could have had upon or against the said Government and shall forthwith repay to the said Government such sums of money as.

they may

have paid for the passage out to Hong Kong of the said William Bidgood.

The said Government, shall have the power at any time during the currency of this Agreement, to terminate it on giving to the said William Bidgood three months notice in writing

paying him a sum equal to three months salary in lieu of such notice.

8 In the event of the said William Bidgood

undertaking the execution of any Works in Hong Kong for the said Government as a Sub Contractor under them in such case the Agreement hereby entered into shall cease until the

completion of the works the subject of such sub Contract Provided always and it is hereby agreed that the said William Bidgood stall on being required so to do by the said Government excecute works for any other person or persons upon being paid the aforesaid wages of One hundred and thirty five dollar ($135) for every calendar month during which he shall be at work.

The said William Bidgood agrees to make

no claim upon the said Government. in respect of the fluctuation in the value of the dollar. For the purpose of payment
