Enclosure 2
Report by the Attorney General on Ordinance A1⁄2 12 of 184425.
2010
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance1, entitled "ÛÂu2
"Ordinance to amend The Cattle Slaughter Houses and Markets Ordinance 1887", and I am of opinion
that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions3.
Sections 2, 3 and 4 are to prevent animals being slaughtered without being previously marked with the official mark, and to punish any person fraudulently affixing such mark.
Section 5 extends the effect of the Bye-laws which may be made for the Governor's approval, under date 25th December, 1894.
by the Governor in Council,
[P2] H. Meigh Goodman,
Attorney General.
