I have the honour to bring to your notice the accompanying letter calling the attention of this Chamber to the recently ratified treaty between Great Britain and Japan bringing into operation a revised scale of import duties on Sugar very prejudicially affecting the refining trade of this Colony, and I would ask you to be good enough to lay the letter before His Excellency the Governor in order that the question dealt with, which has such an important bearing on the largest local industry,
