8623 (which I have got back from Audit Office) that M. J.P. Silva are among the Clerks who complained of being passed over in 4687/93. M. Silva was promoted last time on probation from 5th Clerk to 4th Clerk (on same pay), W. Pestonjee was promoted from 5th Clerk to 4th Clerk, not previously on probation.
