decided to include chair allowance among the emoluments from which 40% should be dedicated for the Widows and Orphans Fund inasmuch as it was considered that these allowances came under the definition of salary in section 2 of Ordinance W:30 of 1890.
I shall be glad to receive Your Lordship's decision as to whether this deduction is to be made in future, and I may add that if your decision is in the negative, it will be necessary to refund all such deductions hitherto made.
