Honourable Acting Colonial Secretary,

I must apologise for not having reported before on this subject. I was under the impression that I had done so. On receipt of His Excellency's instructions, I consulted as desired with the managers of the Chinese Bank, as they were of the opinion qualified to express an opinion; I also applied to the Treasury at Singapore for particulars re the issue of 1/2 cent pieces there.
