On the 3rd June there were 81 admissions 54 deaths and 18 dead bodies removed to the Hospital.

The total deaths to-date have been 735.

Thousands of Chinese have left Hongkong for Canton and the mainland, and yet the mortality is on the increase.

It is now reported on the authority of the Roman Catholic Mission that 120,000 persons have died in the Canton District.

It being evidently necessary that more stringent measures should be adopted to stamp out the disease in this Colony, the Sanitary Board was summoned on 31st May, and drew up additional bye-laws which were confirmed in Executive Council on Tuesday noon.
