With respect to para. referring to the employment, the Official Receiver by Registry I have made enquiries. As far as I can ascertain, the only work done by Att. Xavier in office hours has been to make out cheques and prepare accounts, showing why they are paid out, but this has been done at the request and for the satisfaction of the Registrar, who is required by Government order to countersign all cheques drawn by the Official Receiver and that he has declined to do so unless quite satisfied of the correctness of the same.

I have been requested to state, and have every reason to believe the statement is correct, that the only work Mr. Xavier does for the Official Receiver, is to keep the books and the accounts - these he does out of office hours, and after office hours. The work does not amount to much; certainly not enough to employ a separate clerk, and it would be very difficult to obtain the occasional services of a trustworthy person, who was not an officer of the Court.

I have above stated that Mr. Nicolle instead of only auditing the accounts questions the management of the estate. In support of this statement, I will give the following instance.
