1. The Car Brake Test.

The test is correctly stated in Messrs Humphreys' letter and the statement that "the action of the brake is quite irrespective of any weight that may be placed in the car" is also correct, but the conclusion that "loading the car with sows of ballast... non entirely... least 220 object in... with the 2¾" is in my opinion erroneous.
