Generally all the clothes of persons admitted are burnt as they are intensely filthy and cost only a few cents. All dead bodies are freely treated by disinfectants both before and after being put in the coffin. Cleanliness on the native Servant part is absolutely insisted on. Treatment of Patients has almost solely been symptomatic. As some of it has been to a certain degree Experimental I think it wise to refrain from remarks on it at the present time.
The Burial Ground is low down past Kennedy Town Hospital - almost opposite Green Island. If our present death rate goes on another larger & more suitable bit of ground will have to be supplied. The treatment of these cemeteries will require after consideration. The difficulties met with in getting graves deep enough have been great & some constant supervision will be necessary to prevent them becoming a nuisance.
