Adverting to Circular W.8 dated the 3rd of November 1893 respecting the suggestion that officers domiciled in Hongkong be paid 3/- to the dollar when on leave and shall in lieu receive a non-pensionable allowance while on active service so as to make up half their salary to the rate of 3/- to the dollar I have the honour to request that my concurrence in the suggestion may be duly noted.
