Veterinary Surgeon, appealing against a ruling by Sir M. W. Robinson, that he is not entitled to extra salary on account of the work which he performs in connection with the Vaccine establishment.

2.

Sir W. Robinson was of opinion that the work in question is of such a nature that the Veterinary Surgeon can fairly be expected to perform it without additional remuneration, and I venture to submit that this opinion is a reasonable one.

3.

At the same time, I should mention that Sir W. Robinson nevertheless was willing that whenever a profit could be shown on the working of the Vaccine establishment, Mr Ladds should receive an allowance equivalent to a share of the profits; and that Mr Ladds was informed accordingly before he sent in the present memorial.
