3. Calling out your refusal to carry out the Frooks, and taking such a step to sanction was, in my opinion, wise and right. In my opinion, I shall be glad if you will convey to "M-" my saying that the troops for the Sungst Brammer, in which he was safeguarded, reflected acknowledgements of the firmness and energy which he showed in repressing the disturbance. I shall await the further report which is promised in the last paragraph of the despatch before expressing any opinion upon the suggestions which he has made for minimising similar difficulties in future.
