a load was shot in the

abdomen in Staunton Street by a

man in the street. He was conveyed

to the Government Civil Hospital;

where he died shortly afterwards.

It was with the

greatest

difficulty that the Police

succeeded

in finding

the companion of the murdered man. He has

not been able to

elucidate

the identity of the murderer nor have the Police been

able

to obtain

any information from the shopkeepers

or others

in the street, many of whom

must have

witnessed the murder.
