Called Preparatory, Lower, and Higher, all being

integral parts of one school and lead-

ing on the one to the other,);

(a) The Preparatory division, the students in which pay fee of one dollar,

deals with elementary education alone,

starting from the alphabet.

(b) The Lower division with a fee of

two dollars, fills the intermediate

place between an elementary and a Secondary school, the instruction

ranging to about the level of the sixth

standard in an English Board School.

In the higher division, the fee

for which is three dollars, and which

comprises about one third of the total

number of students in the college, se-

condary education is given, the students being taken up to and in special cases

beyond the standard of the Oxford Local

examinations.

The hours for English teaching by

English masters are from 9 a.m. to 1:30

p.m. The hours for teaching of Chinese

by Chinese masters are from 6:30 to

8 a.m. and from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.; but
