The Queens College consists mainly
of Chinese boys, who form about two thirds of the total number of students There are some 20 to 30 English boys,

According
to the English teaching
at the college, it falls into three divisions: Preparatory, Lower,
and Higher, the fees for these three divisions are 1, 2 and 8 dollars
respectively. They are all parts of the same school & lead on from one to the other. The preparatory is devoted to elementary education, beginning with
