In reply to your letter of the 9th Instant I have the honour to inform you that I have directed Commodore Boyes, as Senior Naval Officer on the recently reconstituted Defence Committee, to fill up the information required so far as it applies to Naval Defence.
I would call attention to par: 1. of my letter of the 24th January 1893 on this subject.
