Re: Application for a patent in Hong Kong under Ordinance 1892, in the matter of William Dundas Scott-Moncrieff.

I beg to lay before you the following facts,

Adverting to my letter of today,

By June 27th 1893 I forwarded No. 639 to the Colonial Secretary through your department full papers prepared in accordance with the "Ordinance of 1892" for Letter Patent for Hong Kong, and with a letter to the same Colonial Secretary, a copy of which (and marked "A") is enclosed herewith.

I have this day received the whole of the papers back again from the Colonial Secretary, together with a draft letter attached thereto, which he proposes to send, and is now enclosed (marked "B").

The Colonial Secretary's letter is No. 1129, and dated 18th August 1893.
