Harry Thistleton Pollard 9 of the Pension Regulations (returned herewith) provides that reduced pensions are granted when the officer's conduct has not been uniformly good, and that unfortunately the services of Mr. Paul were not altogether satisfactory, and consequently on this account the Colonial Government granted them reduced pensions.
A Lord Referee (No. 433) regrets that there is no sufficient reason for interfering with the discretion of the local Government in the matter.
