Dr. J. COLLIS BROWNE'S 7549

Re 17 OCT SC)

CHLORODYNE.

THE

ORIGINAL

AND

ONLY GENUINE.

CHLORODYNE is a liquid, taken in drops. It invariably relieves pain of whatever kind; creates a calm, refreshing sleep; allays irritation of the nervous system when all other remedies fail; leaving no bad effects like opium or laudanum; and can be taken when no other medicine can be tolerated. Its value in saving life in infancy is not easily estimated—a few drops will subdue the irritation of Teething, prevent and arrest Convulsions, cure Whooping Cough, Spasms, and Flatus at once.

CHLORODYNE is the best remedy known for Coughs, CONSUMPTION, BRONCHITIS, ASTHMA, effectually checks and arrests those too often fatal diseases known as DIPHTHERIA, FEVER, CROUP, AGUE, acts like a charm in DIARRHOEA, and is the only specific in CHOLERA and DYSENTERY, effectually cuts short all attacks of EPILEPSY, HYSTERIA, PALPITATION and SPASMS.

It is the only palliative in NEURALGIA, RHEUMATISM, Gout, CANCER, TOOTHACHE, MENINGITIS, &c.

The extensive demand for this remedy, known as Dr. J. COLLIS BROWNE'S CHLORODYNE, by the Medical Profession, Hospitals, Dispensaries—Civil, Military, and Naval—and Families, especially guarantees that this statement of its extreme importance and value is a bona fide one, and worthy the attention of all.

CAUTION.—Always ask for "Dr. J. Collis Browne's Chlorodyne," and beware of spurious compounds or imitations. Dr. Browne placed the Recipe for making "Chlorodyne" in the hands of Mr. Davenport ONLY; consequently, there can be no other Manufacturer. The genuine bears the words "Dr. J. Collis Browne's Chlorodyne," on the Government Stamp of each bottle.

The following is an extract from the decision of the Vice-Chancellor in the late Chlorodyne Chancery suit—BROWNE & DAVENPORT v. FREEMAN:—Vice-Chancellor Sir W. P. Wood states that Dr. J. Collis Browne was undoubtedly the Inventor of Chlorodyne, that the statements of the defendant Freeman were deliberately untrue, and he regretted to say that they had been sworn to. Eminent hospital Physicians of London stated that Dr. J. Collis Browne was the discoverer of Chlorodyne; that they prescribed it largely, and mean no other than Dr. Browne's.—See THE TIMES, July 13th, 1864.

Sold in Bottles at 1s. 1½d., 2s. 9d., and 4s. 6d. Sole Manufacturer, J. T. DAVENPORT,
