the Governor of Hong Kong
the
the subject of position of the Official Receiver.
Lord Ripon will be
glad if General will
propose directing the
Local Auditor to
continue to audit
these accounts,
but
before expressing any final opinion
Extra remuneration
Extra assistance to be
given to W.W. Nicolle in this connection, his Lordship will await the receipt of a definite proposal from him, after W.W. Nicolle has reported
on his requirements
in that respect,
and how far the work
of examining
these
accounts will be
the work
likely to supersede
the examination of Official Assigned accounts under the former system
I would draw Lordship's attention that if
the
audit
of
the Official Receiver's accounts
is
tested by the Registrar
or other officer of the Court
properly entrusted with the duties
the work of the Local Auditor would be considerably lightened
