affect the cost of stores bought for works. and cannot be finally taken into account at the time the issuing price is fixed, may fairly be considered in the periodical adjustments of the expense accounts of the Works Department and be distributed pro ratâ or otherwise.
As at present advised, Charles Ryan is not disposed to raise any objection to the course proposed to be taken by the Governor in answering Mr Cooper's suggestion as to the adjustment of his accounts, unless any circumstances have arisen which have not yet been reported to you. I am to request that you inform the Governor of this decision.
