216 of 16 Dec last I enquired of Mr. Watters, the Consul General at Canton, whether differential duties on tea were levied by the Hoppo in favour of one class of ship or another, and I have now received a reply from Mr. Watters stating that no complaints on this subject have reached him since the month of September.
